Sanderijn
Cels
is an independent scholar and writer in the field of politics, government
and gender issues. Cels is currently senior fellow at the Netherlands
School for Public Administration in The Hague (NSOB, Netherlands),
as well as research associate of the Consensus
Building Institute and the MIT-Harvard
Public Disputes Program. She works on several research projects,
including a study of political apologies. She is specialized in
case writing and teaching.
Cels was president of think tank 'Kabinet Online', advising the
Dutch government on the challenges of the information age (2000-2001).
After
that she worked as a senior advisor to several ministries of the
national government on issues such as citizen participation, new
media, and strategic communication.
Cels has written six books. She is a columnist, frequent speaker,
and has published widely in national newspapers. In 2008, she reported
on the American presidential elections. She holds a masters degree
in history (with honors) from Leiden University.
